Minorities in S.T.E.M.

So my first question for you [the reader] would be: Do you know what S.T.E.M. is? Answer: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (in case you didn't know). This is a field that isn't strongly populated by minorities in America. However, America is recognizing this deficit and are taking steps to expose more minority students to S.T.E.M. fields early so that it is amongst the career options or college majors they chose when it comes time. Since I've been in NSBE leadership it's been embedded in me to "protect your personal brand". However most people don't know what that means. Google - the most popular search engine in the world can be used to find whatever public information there is about you. And don't think that just because your Facebook and Twitter pages are locked that you're safe; anything on the web is fair game especially with some digging.
